Cliff: I hear that Bush is gonna pardon Barry Bonds when he’s found guilty.
Clyde: What on earth would he do a thang like that fer?
Claude: Now Clyde. You know how them Republicans are. Git their butt in trouble and have somebody else help ‘em out. Sweep it all under the rug. Like that Kentucky governor, Fletcher. His whole damn staff got indicted and he pardoned ever one of ‘em.
Cliff: Yeah, but who said Bonds was a Republican?
Clyde: Nobody, but Bush is a baseball nut. He owns half of it, I thank.
Claude: Baseball shouldn’t be a political thang.
Clyde: Yeah, but they all still vote, don’t they?
Claude: Well Bush must’ve had a quick poll done, to see how the people felt about it, ‘fore he done it. He couldn’t stand to get no futher down in popular opinion.
Cliff: I say if he did it, he must pay the price.
Claude: I say impeach him.
Cliff: Who Bush or Bonds?
Claude: Bonds.
Clyde: They don’t impeach baseball players.
Claude: How about Shoeless Joe and Pete Rose?
